Outside my window…is a Monday rather than a Sunday so I have Williamsburg in my view. Currently we are at 83°F with mostly cloudy skies. The forecast for the week looks very much the same as today…. mostly sunshine and temperatures warming up to the low 90’s by mid-week. It has been quite dry, I believe the last measurable rainfall was on August 29th. I wouldn’t mind a few days of a rain…the soaking variety would be welcome…and cooler temperatures. I could possibly get my wish this Saturday for cooler with a forecast of 72°F for the high and a low of 58°F. I’m very ready for fall…summer and the heat needs to go away. I…

Outside my window…are the gathering storm clouds. They have actually been gathering since about 7:30 this morning. There was sunshine while I walked Turbo but the clouds were beginning to build and gather. There are mostly cloudy skies with a temperature of 83°F. Factor in the 71% humidity and it feels like 88°F. Our forecast high for today is 85°F. Fortunately there is a small breeze that makes it a bit more bearable outside. We have a 60% chance of thunderstorms beginning around sunset tonight and lasting throughout the evening. It is one of those days that seems like the air is simmering until it finally must rain. Outside my window…is a cloudy and humid morning. Currently it is noon and we have a temperature of 81°F but feels like 86°F with the 75% humidity factored in. Yes, it is humid but not beyond miserable because the temperature is manageable. We have enjoyed some beautiful weather the past few days with blue skies, moderate temperatures and lower humidity. I think today is the first day the humidity has been this high in some time. I’m not fool enough to believe that cooler temperatures are going to be the norm for the rest of the summer….traditionally August is a hot month….but I did read on one of my weather geek…

Outside my window…today is hot and humid. We have had intermittent sunshine and cloud cover but the heat has remained consistent. At approximately 2:30 it is 85°F but feels like 92°F ~ humidity is 71%. We had a dry, hot week until Thursday which saw heavy rains that afternoon, rain again on Friday and more heavy rain Saturday morning and early afternoon. Our chance for rain this afternoon is relatively low at 20%, but then I have seen pouring rain when our chance was only 30% so hard to say. I can see dark clouds outside my window looking East but there is plenty of sunshine right now. I wouldn’t…

Outside my window…is a very dull day….gray, cloudy, hot, humid. It is around 2:00 and we are at 82°F, it feels like 87°F when you factor in the 74% humidity ~ yes, it is just a tad humid. There is a slight breeze that is moving the air around so it isn’t quite as suffocating as it could be. We have been hot and humid for quite a few days….and rain every day for several days ~ not constant, just showers here and there, hit and miss thunderstorms with brief downpours. Our forecast today is calling for a high of 85°F, humid with a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms. Tomorrow looks like it…

Outside my window…is a typical summer morning in Southeast Virginia. I know it isn’t officially summer yet ~ but it certainly feels like it outside this past weekend. Right now, at around 10:00 this morning, we are at 79°F with a 71% humidity so it feels like 81°F. Skies are partly cloudy but I like to think of it as more like filtered sun. There is plenty of sunshine out however there is a definite haze in the air which gives it that filtered look. Outside my window…is a rather dreary Sunday afternoon. There is full cloud cover with the sun making a feeble attempt to show itself. I say feeble because I believe it could come out and shine if it really wanted to. I’m not sure what location The Weather Channel dude is reporting from but they are saying mostly sunny and 78°F…not so. Cloudy and 78°F is more like it. We have a chance of thunderstorms after 6:00 this evening, it is definitely humid enough to conjure up a storm when you mix in a little afternoon heat. Outside my window…is the closing hours of Mother’s Day 2013. What began as a rainy morning turned into an amazing day with sunshine, blue skies and fabulous temperatures. Our high today was 75°F and a forecast low tonight of 50°F…beautiful! Unfortunately I didn’t get anything finished in the flower bed as I had planned today….the ground was pretty wet from the rain last night and this morning. I couldn’t help but notice on my walks this weekend how lush and green everything is…just the way I like it. Our temperatures will stay in the upper 60’s for highs and a forecast low of 45°F on Monday and 54°F on Tuesday. Wednesday will see the temps…

Outside My Window…is a cloudy evening. We started out with blue skies and sunshine but as the day progressed we built up to what is now total cloud cover with some fairly dark skies on the horizon. Our forecast for this evening is cloudy skies with an 80% chance of rain after midnight. At 6:15 we are currently at 62°F which is very close to the forecast over night low of 60°F. Our high today was around noon with partly cloudy skies and 70°F. It was a fabulous weekend overall….perfect for working outside. Yesterday I was able to finish my clean up of the backyard and trimming the two large bushes on the opposite side…

Outside my window…is the end of another weekend. At around 11:00 this evening we are at 47°F with clear skies. The weather channel says it feels like 43°F and I’m wondering if I should be worried about the house plants I took outside a couple of weeks ago. I guess it is too late to worry about that now…I hope they will be alright. We had an absolutely beautiful, albeit chilly, weekend. There was a nice overnight soaking rain on Friday and into the early hours Saturday morning that washed the thick layer of pollen away.
