Life In General

This Time Last Year

This time last year, these flowering trees were in bloom.

I was looking forward to photographing them again this year…

….but because everything seems to be blooming early….

I missed them this year.  :|

Is this happening all over the country?

Blooming

My temperamental dogwood is blooming this year…better than ever!  :)

Spring

It’s official…Robin Redbreast is everywhere.  :)

My Little Pink Camera

When we all came back from Christmas break on January 3rd, most everyone in our office discovered a little surprise on their desk.  No card….no hint as to who it was from…a Secret Santa perhaps.  I got a little pink camera.

It is about an inch wide.  You can look through the lens via a hole in the back…it isn’t very clear, but very cool that you can do that.  It gets even better.  When you depress the shutter button on top, you hear a definite click-click…and see the little flash in the corner ~ it  goes off. It is actually quite bright too.

I have taken many photographs with my little pink camera…funny enough, many of those people have asked me if I really took their photograph with it…seriously.   It has been one of the best little gifts I have received in a long time….and extra special because the person that gave this to me had to know how much I would like it.  Secret Santa at William and Mary ~ you rock!

Oh yea…

….break out the summer clothes!

March Full Moon

“The full Moon in March is known by many names: the Worm Moon, Sap Moon, Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Sugar Moon, and Lenten Moon. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, the native tribes of what is now the northern and eastern U.S. named this the Worm Moon after the earthworm casts that appear as the ground thaws. The more northern tribes knew this as the Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter. Other northern names are the Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night, or the Sap Moon as this is the time for tapping maple trees. Europeans called this the Lenten Moon.”

My New Best Friends

It seems my daughters have shared their cold with me….meet my new best friends.

I have decided not all things need to be shared.  :|

Maybe

There may be a chance for significant snow this Sunday…maybe winter was just running late this year.

First Snow

Our first snow of the season….and it was thunder snow.

Under the weather….

Feeling a bit under the weather…

…I’ve been fighting this for the past week…

…tonight it feels like I’m losing ~ off to bed for me.
