Lord, I feel a little humbled when I see how much you are paying for fuel!! My heavy sigh over $3.42 must sound like a bit of heaven to you. :) The price of gas going up has caused an increase in groceries over the past year in the States as well. Fortunately we haven't had the huge increase in electricity. It is tough for many people, especially with so many companies freezing salaries for the past several years. Everything else is going up except for salaries. Now we are dealing with a huge drought that is predicted to cause another increase in groceries...always something. I'm with you, fingers crossed things will level out sometime soon.

I couldn't help but look up the currency converting website to see how our fuel compares with you. I filled up the car yesterday and paid the equivalent of $5.51 a gallon! It's been that price for a few months now. Makes life really expensive when you have to drive the kids everywhere for school and sports. It's also driven up the cost of groceries in the local supermarkets over the last year. The final straw was when the electricity providers raised their prices by 20% on the first of July. So many families are doing it tough and really trying to tighten the purse-strings. Have you noticed increases in your supermarkets in the US at all? Fingers crossed things will level out and stop climbing.
